Overview

Cassandra Vogel is an experienced civil litigator who represents individuals and businesses in a wide range of matters, including contract and shareholder disputes, real estate-related litigation and premises liability defense.  Cassandra is also a core member of Yankwitt LLP’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Government Investigations team.

Known for her efficient case handling, Cassandra consistently addresses her clients’ challenges with creative defense strategies that resolve matters favorably, even when a path to victory seems unlikely.  As an exceptional legal researcher and brief writer, Cassandra often resolves cases through motion practice, applying the skills she initially gained as a federal law clerk in the Southern District of New York.

When litigation leads to trial, Cassandra applies that same creative, practical approach to the courtroom, where she recently prevailed in a bench trial before the New York Supreme Court, New York County, Commercial Division.

Beyond her litigation prowess, Cassandra is a trusted advisor to her clients.  She is sensitive to the impact of litigation on her clients’ lives, always making time to listen to her clients and then seek pragmatic resolutions to their real-world concerns.

Cassandra joined Yankwitt LLP after practicing at Kostelanetz & Fink LLP, where she focused on civil litigation, tax controversies, and white-collar criminal defense. She has published multiple articles on tax controversy issues in the CPA Journal.

During law school, Cassandra was a fellow at Brooklyn Law School’s Dennis J. Block Center for International Business Law and was an Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Law Review.

Cassandra is fluent in French.
