Benjamin Allee to Speak About Federal Election Crimes at National Association of Attorneys General Training Webinar
Yankwitt LLP Partner Benjamin Allee will be participating in a webinar on federal and state election crimes hosted by the NAGTRI Center for Ethics and Public Integrity. The webinar is scheduled for Monday, October 19, 2020, 2:00— 3:30 p.m. and is open to prosecutors and law enforcement personnel.
The webinar will cover:
- General principles for investigating and prosecuting election crimes
- An overview of federal and state election laws
- When federal or state prosecutors have jurisdiction to enforce election law violations
- Several case studies.
Ben, a former Assistant United States Attorney and Deputy Chief in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, handled, with other AUSAs, the biggest voter fraud case in the modern era. Ben now leads Yankwitt LLP’s white-collar criminal defense practice and is looking forward to presenting and sharing his experience with attendees.
The webinar is patterned after the Election Crimes chapter in the forthcoming Anticorruption Manual. Attendees will receive a copy of that chapter, which was authored by co-panelist Tim VanderGiesen, and will be notified when the Anticorruption Manual is available for purchase, likely in early 2021.
