Russell Yankwitt Elected to the Federal Bar Council Executive Board and Vice President of the Council

Yankwitt LLP managing partner, Russell Yankwitt, has been elected to the Executive Board of the Federal Bar Council (FBC), an organization of lawyers who practice in federal courts within the Second Circuit. Active in the FBC since he graduated from Cornell Law School and started clerking for the Hon. Thomas C. Platt, Russell has held numerous leadership positions within the organization, including chair of the Membership Committee, Chair of an Annual Winter Bench and Bar Conference; member of the Board of Trustees, Assistant Secretary, Assistant Treasurer; and Vice President.

“Being a contributing member is important to me,” said Russell, who has an active federal court practice. “The FBC has given so much to me over the years that I look forward to continuing to reciprocate in any way possible.”

Russell founded Yankwitt LLP in 2009 and has since grown the firm to become Westchester County’s go-to litigation firm. The firm has active practices in the New York federal and state courts, including the New York Supreme Court Commercial Division.
