Westchester Lawyer Publishes Article by Michael Reed on Settling Overtime Cases in Federal Court

Westchester Lawyer Magazine, an official publication of the Westchester County Bar Association, has published an article by Yankwitt LLP attorney Michael Reed titled, “Settling Overtime Cases in Federal Court.” The article looks at the history of how overtime cases filed under Fair Labor Standards Act have been settled in federal court, how the Cheeks decision affected the dismissal of FLSA claims, and how the Hasaki case further changed the process by taking the judiciary out of FLSA cases, thereby speeding up the settlements.
