Reed served as a federal law clerk prior to practicing at Am Law 100 firm
White Plains, NY (May 13, 2019) – White Plains, New York-based law firm Yankwitt LLP has expanded its civil litigation practice with Michael H. Reed, a former federal law clerk.
Reed, who is joining the firm as counsel, has substantial experience in complex litigation and has an established federal law practice. He has focused over the past several years on employment litigation and wage and hour disputes and has lectured throughout the country on overtime law.

Like many senior attorneys at Yankwitt LLP, Reed’s training came from years working at a prestigious New York City law firm and as a federal law clerk. He practiced at Am Law 100 law firm Kirkland & Ellis, before joining a regional law firm, where he served as counsel in nationwide overtime class and collective actions and individual litigation and arbitrations, and he clerked for the Hon. William J. Martini of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Reed received his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law, where he served as a junior research fellow at NYU’s Center for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration, and Commercial Law.
Reed graduated from Amherst College magna cum laude with distinction and earned an M.A. degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
