Yankwitt LLP Expands Litigation Team with Former Big Law Firm Attorney and Federal Law Clerk Scott Wenzel

Before entering legal practice, Wenzel also enjoyed a successful career as a professional cyclist

White Plains, NY (February 14 2022) – Yankwitt LLP, Westchester County’s go-to firm for high-stakes, bet-the-company litigation, continues to grow with the hiring of Scott Wenzel as an associate.

Prior to joining Yankwitt LLP, Wenzel worked for Am Law 100 law firm Latham & Watkins and served as a federal law clerk for Judge Debra M. Brown of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi. While in law school, he interned for the Hon. Patty Shwartz of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Hon. Cathy Seibel of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

“We are thrilled to have Scott join our team,” said Russell Yankwitt, Yankwitt LLP managing partner. “He brings to the firm unparalleled training from his federal clerkship and work for a global law firm. In our experience, a work history like Scott’s yields persuasive legal writers and skilled oral advocates, both of which are critical to being an effective litigator. We know he will be an asset to the firm and to our clients.”

Wenzel’s legal training is well aligned with Yankwitt LLP’s current roster of lawyers, all of whom worked for large national or New York City law firms, clerked for federal judges and/or served as federal prosecutors.

In addition to practicing law, Wenzel was part of the Belgium-based Fuji Geox Test Cycling Team, with which he competed in single and multi-day endurance races in Northern Europe as part of an eight-man team.
