Yankwitt LLP, and co-counsel, Jacobowitz and Gubits LLP, successfully represented BT Holdings, LLC, a real estate development company controlled by the Nussbaum Family, in land use and contract litigation against the Village of Chester. BT commenced the lawsuit after the Village breached its contractual obligations when it refused to assign zoning to BT’s property that would enable BT to develop the property in accordance with certain settlement stipulations between BT and the Village. Following a multi-week trial, the jury returned a unanimous liability verdict in BT’s favor and awarded BT $2.4 million in damages.
