Westchester Lawyer Publishes Article by Michael Reed that Examines Andryeyeva v. New York Health Care

The June 2019 issue of Westchester Lawyer features an article by Michael Reed entitled, "Andryeyeva and the Minimum Wage for Home Health Aides." The article examines the Court of Appeals adoption of the Department of Labor’s reading of New York’s Miscellaneous Industries and Occupations Minimum Wage Order. Under that reading, employers only must pay home health care aides for 13 hours of a 24-hour shift if the aids are provided with scheduled and uninterrupted breaks lasting 11 hours. JusticeOn June 3, 2019, Quest acknowledged that hackers accessed the personal sensitive information of nearly 12 million Quest clients. The information includes credit card numbers, bank account information, and medical information. Quest allegedly learned about the massive data breach in May 2019 but allegedly failed to alert its clients for a period of weeks. Yankwitt LLP and Ahdoot & Wolfson, PC have filed a class action complaint seeking relief for Quest’s many victims.
